    General Information:

    ·         Goggles and mouth guards Mandatory!!!!  The try-outs are on both turf and grass fields.

    ·         Every Player MUST bring a ball for try-outs.

    ·         All players trying out must be in High School (grades 9-11) and on Varsity.

    ·         All players MUST be members of US Lacrosse prior to trying out and MUST provide proof of membership (#) on the registration form.  To get US Lacrosse registration form, simply go online @ www.lacrosse.org . Memberships must be current through the date of the National Tournament (May 25,2008).  Membership number and expiration date can be found on the address label of your Lacrosse Magazine or on your membership card.  New members may bring the confirmation letter from US Lacrosse.

    ·         No clothing should be worn that identifies your high school or club team.

    ·         No hair ribbons, bows, or bandana’s or any other identifying clothing should be worn. (Exception keepers under the helmet)

    ·         For those pre registering, envelopes must be postmarked by deadline date (April 1).  Absolutely no faxes will be accepted!!!!!!

    ·         Players must complete both the registration form and insurance waiver.  You may obtain them online at www.nyslacrosse.org.

    Amateur Athletic Minor Waiver and Release of Liability

    In consideration for being allowed to participate in any way in the New York Chapters of US Lacrosse athletics/sport program, and related events and activities, the undersigned:

    1.                  Agree that the parent(s) and or legal guardian(s) will instruct the minor participant that prior to participating he or she should inspect the facilities and equipment to be used, and if the participant believes anything is unsafe, he or she should immediately advise his or her coach or supervisor of such condition(s) and refuse to participate.

    2.                  Acknowledge and fully understand that each participant will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, and severe social and economic losses which might result not only from their own actions, inactions or negligence of others, the rules of play or the condition of the premises or of any equipment used.  Further, that there may be other risks not known to us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.

    3.                  Assume all foregoing risk and accept personal responsibility for damages following such injury, permanent disability or death.

    4.                  Release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue US Lacrosse, Inc. and their Chapters, the New York Elite Lacrosse Tournament Committee or volunteers, the Western New York Chapter of US Lacrosse, Cicero North Syracuse School District, University of Albany, McDonough and St. Paul Schools, US Lacrosse National Tournament, Farmingdale School, or any other site used for US Lacrosse sponsored events, and their participants, the athletic training and medical staffs working at these practices, tournaments and venues; their affiliated clubs, their respective administrators, directors, agents, coaches, and other employees of the organizations, and other respective sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and leasers used to conduct the events or practices for the event, all of which are hereinafter referred to as “releasees”, from any and all LIABILITY to each of the undersigned, his or her heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands, losses or damages on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or part by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.

  • Tournament Game Schedule will be on line at www.uslacrosse.org or http://www.uslacrosse.org/events  the week before the tournament. games begin at 8 am on Saturday morning and the high school girls championship game is at 4 pm on Sunday. No reservations for airplanes should be made prior to 8 pm on Sunday night. NCAA Final Four Women's Division Semifinals are on Friday May 23 at 5 pm and 7 pm and the Finals are on Sunday May 25 at 7 pm at Towson University. Please try to attend and show your support to our college athletes.
  • CLASS OF 2008 Players must apply to play in the national senior division. They do not have to tryout. To showcase the best senior girls' lacrosse players in the U.S. at the premier women’s lacrosse tournament and to

provide them with a wonderful high school career finale.

DIVISION MAKEUP

(8) Teams of (20) players each

(2) Pools of (4) with crossover to other pool by placement after round robin play

Each team will play (4) or (5) games

PLAYER SELECTION

Players must be HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, graduating in the spring of 2007

All registration is done on line at the US Lacrosse National Tournament web site

 Players will be notified by email as soon as they are

accepted into the tournament. PLAYERS SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS ARE COMMITTING TO

PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT IF THEY ARE SELECTED.

IF YOU ARE APPLYING  FOR THIS TEAM, YOU ARE COMMITTING TO PLAY IN THIS TOURNAMENT. IF YOU FAIL TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN SEASON ENDING INJURY OR DEATH, YOU FORFEIT YOUR RIGHT TO US Lacrosse HONORS (including All American and Academic All American) FOR THAT YEAR AND YOUR RIGHT TO PLAY IN SUBSEQUENT USL NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS.

A committee of the Women’s Division Coaches Council – HS will place players on teams as regionally and

equally in skill as possible.

Applications must be submitted by APRIL 25, 2008 (postmarked). Applications received after that date will be placed on a waiting list.

Players will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis as long as a completed application and

participation fee are received and the player has a current US Lacrosse membership. NOTE: If an

excessive number of applications are received, priority will go to players who have previously represented

their region in the National Tournament.

The Players Fee of $75 is non-refundable except for a season ending injury (medical proof required) or

family death, in which case the player must find a replacement player if no waiting list is available. The

Commitment fee of $75 will be returned to the player upon completion of the National Tournament.

Players who apply to play in the tournament are committing to play in the tournament if they are

selected. Players accepted to play in the tournament but cancel, are "no shows", or fail to complete the

entire tournament, will forfeit the $75 players fee as well as the $75 commitment fee and will also be

subject to the following penalties:

1. Players will not be allowed to receive any US Lacrosse honors (ie: All American and /or

Academic All American, All Star Game) and are banned from participating in the US Lacrosse

National Tournament for 1 year.

2. If multiple players from the same school do not participate or on the second violation by a

player from the same school within a three year period: all players from that school are ineligible

for any US Lacrosse honors or participation in the National Tournament for a period of 1 year.

Coach and team will be put on probation.

TOURNAMENT SPECIFICS

Players will wear their own black shorts and be provided a colored, numbered, cotton tank top from US

Lacrosse.

Games are scheduled for Saturday, May 24th and May 25th. Players are expected to be at Leigh University

on Saturday morning with a meeting at 11 am at the registration booth

The Player Application fee covers the following: jersey, coach’s stipend, administrative costs, and

application processing.

Information about the National Tournament including hotel accommodations and game schedule will be

posted on the US Lacrosse web site: www.uslacrosse.org   Information for all housing accommodations for the National Tournament will be  on the US Lacrosse web site

Hotel Accommodations are the responsibility of each player and should be made immediately upon

application as rooms are scarce.

An email communication confirming your participation in the tournament will be sent within 2 weeks of

our receiving your application. Final team placement will be posted on the US Lacrosse web site the third

Saturday Evening May 24th, prior to the US Team Exhibition Game, the US Lacrosse High School Senior Game will be played.. Players will be selected from the senior division to participate in this National High School Game.
