2011 WNY_ROCHESTER NATIONAL TOURNAMENT TEAM INFORMATION

Congratulations you have been selected to represent WNY and Rochester in the 2011 US Lacrosse National Tournament on Memorial Day Weekend at SUNY Stony Brook, Long Island NY.

Practice will be held on Sunday May 8, 2011 from 10am-12pm @ Nichols School, 1250 Amherst St. Buffalo, NY 14209. Please bring your check for the tournament fee made out for $195 to WNYUSL to practice. Also bring to practice: water bottle, sneakers and cleats

Players must be at the field on at National Tournament on Saturday morning May 28th one hour prior to game time where they will receive their uniforms and registration information. Schedule will be available online at www.uslacrosse.org approximately 7- 10 days before tournament. NCAA Women’s Tournament is at SUNY Stony Brook on Friday & Sunday, May 28,30

URGENT: IMMEDIATE ATTENTION: HOUSING  -READ CAREFULLY

Please go on either of the two web sites listed below and made room reservations for the National Tournament at SUNY  Stony Brook, NY (one reservation is listed for Buffalo and the other Rochester but you can stay at either one as we are a joint team. We could not get enough rooms in one single hotel). Deadline for making room reservations in this reserved block of rooms is: May 5 at 3 pm for the Hilton and May 6 at 3 pm for the LaQuinta. There are 19 doubles and 1 king at LaQuinta ($125+taxes) and 18 doubles and 1 king at the Hilton ($154+taxes). Only 1 room per player please. If extra rooms are available on the deadline day, you can reserve an extra if you need one.

You are welcome to find your own accommodations online if you prefer. If you wish to use this service, please note deadlines. It is a very busy weekend in Long Island with the Women's NCAA Lacrosse Tournament as well as our National Tournament. So book quickly.

PLAYERS AND PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THEIR TRANSPORTATION, FOOD AND HOUSING ARRANGEMENTS.

BE ADVISED: MANY  HOTELS HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHT BOOKING FOR THIS TOURNAMENT.

PLAYER REGISTRATION FOR SENIORS (CLASS OF 2011)  - REGISTRATION IS ON A FIRST COME BASIS - 

This division features only high school seniors who are graduating in the spring of 2011. Players are placed on teams by a committee of the Women's Division Coach's Council. Teams compete in two pools with round robin and crossover play.

Who Can Play?
All high school seniors who are graduating in the spring of 2011 are eligible to play. There are no tryouts for this division. Sign up is online on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be a member of US Lacrosse to sign up.  Games will be played at Ward Melville High School in Stony Brook, N.Y. on May 28-29.

Cost: $75 and must be a US Lacrosse member
