Girl’s Senior
Lacrosse Game
Section 1: Objective
To provide high school senior girl’s lacrosse players the opportunity
to compete with the best senior lacrosse players in Western New York at the completion
of the spring season.
1. All players must be seniors in high school and be members of a
bona fide high school lacrosse league or association in the WNY area.
3. Each high school team/club coach must submit a check for $50 team fee, a NYSPHSAA Exceptional Senior Contest Letter of Intent, a senior wallet size picture and $10 player fee (non-refundable) for each of their top 7 seniors who are available to play in the game, and the enclosed roster of these ranked players. This completed information must be submitted to the Exceptional Senior Game chairperson by the 1st Friday of May.
(2010 Chair: Chris Schutrum , due date: May 14 , 2010)
***DO NOT NOMINATE PLAYERS WHO ARE
NOT AVAILABLE TO PLAY IN THE GAME
4. A maximum of 3 players
from any one high school team/club may be selected so that each school may be represented. If
roster vacancies are available
after that point, players will be invited
from the ranked list of players submitted from
each coach. After final roster
selections are made, players will receive a
formal invitation
postcard. All players ranked will most
likely not be selected to play in the game.
5. Players chosen must be versatile, able and willing to play a variety
of positions.
Section 3: Game

1. The game will be played after the completion of the spring season in
at Canisius College, and the girl’s will wear their school kilts with tank tops.
2. The game will be hosted by a member school, preferably a field with

3. The players will be divided between two teams (East/West), so the game can be made as
competitive as possible (not by divisions at this time). The West team will wear navy tank tops and the East team will wear
white tank tops. Players will wear their school kilts. Goggles and mouth guards are
mandatory.
4. Four coaches (2 per team) will have the honor of coaching these teams.
The selection of these coaches will be made at the annual winter
coaches meeting (winter 2010 for spring
2010 game). Coaches interested in coaching will submit
a self-nomination form at the beginning of the meeting and a vote will be taken at the meeting. All remaining coaches
are expected to assist with event as timers, scorekeepers, ticket
takers, announcers, chaperones, etc.
6. Coaches can only be selected to this coaching honor once every three
years, unless no other coaches are available to coach.
Section 4: Extra
Player & Coach Responsibilities
1. As this is self funded, every team submitting players for this game is
required to submit a check for a minimum of $50 or sell the equivalent in ads. Every participant in
the games is encouraged to sell advertisements to help defray the costs. Coaches are encouraged to have
their entire teams help
with this fund raising project to honor their seniors.
3. All advertisement forms must be returned to the advertisement chair by May 15. (2010 Chair: Chris Schutrum due date: Monday May 14)
