Section 1:
All girl’s being considered for the All-Western New York Girl’s Lacrosse Team (hereafter known as “this team”), must be
members of a bona fide high school lacrosse league or association in the Buffalo and Western New York areas.
Section 1:
Objective
In the coaches eyes and in the evaluation of the selection
committee
for this team, these players must best represent girls’
lacrosse in the WNY area. This team is to exemplify the best players
in WNY and every team will not be represented every
year.
Section 2:
Selection Committee
1. The committee will be composed of representatives of each
league, with 1 representatives for each division in the Section VI
Federated League,
1 representative from the Monsignor Martin League, 1 representative from the
Independent League and 1 representative from the Midwest Schoolgirls Lacrosse
Association. Any
coach in any league is welcome to attend the committee meetings, but may not
vote. Each individual coach is responsible for nominations of their own candidates.
2. Coaches on the selection committee must be willing to watch
teams in their league play as much as possible.
3. Coaches can nominate players from a team other than their own, but must submit the
paperwork for these candidates as well.
5. Names of candidates (Preliminary Nominations) must be submitted to the All- WNY Committee Chair by April 1 (2011- due date: April 1) to Beth Stone bstone@nicholsschool.org. Final Nominations are due to Beth Stone bstone@nicholsschool.org on May 20, 2011

Meeting date will be set by the Committee Chair and will normally be held on the last Monday

7. Selection members for the
All WNY Committee will be made at the
final selection meeting in May for the following year.
Section 3:
Selection Process
1. A player must
be a member of a team/club participating in a bona fide girl’s high school lacrosse
league in WNY.
2. A player must be nominated by a coach in a bona fide girl’s high
school lacrosse league in WNY.
Preliminary nominations are due in to the All WNY
Committee Chair by April 1. (2011 Chair:
Beth Stone

considered in the final nominations.
3. The
All Western New York Committee Meeting date will be set by the Committee Chair

Section 4: Selection
Considerations
1. A player must be a member of a team/club participating in a bona fide girl’s high school
lacrosse league in WNY.
2. These players must represent the best girl’s lacrosse in the WNY
area. The team should represent the best players in WNY who meet the criteria
listed below.
3. Good sportsmanship is a major consideration in this selection.
4. Skills, leadership, game sense, and teamwork are criteria for selection.
